Course Overview

Explore the exciting world of three-dimensional art in this hands-on studio course. Students will master the transition from 2D drawing to 3D relief sculpture. The curriculum focuses on how geometric and organic shapes combine with tactile textures to tell a story. Students will build physical depth, experiment with surface details, and use color theory to express a specific mood.

What You Will Learn

  • Dimensional Design: Transform flat shapes into layered, projecting relief sculptures.
  • Texture Exploration: Use specialized tools to create rough, smooth, and patterned surfaces.
  • Color Psychology: Match monochromatic, analogous, or complementary color schemes to emotional themes.
  • Material Mastery: Work safely with building media like chipboard, clay, papier-mâché, and acrylics.

Class Start Saturday September 5. We will have 3 classes this month.

Tuition is $52 and preregistration is required.
